Burning Man

If you haven't noticed, there's been plenty of coverage from the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival from our own Alex Billington. And as the festival progresses, some of the films featured are getting some buzz started. Films like The Raid (watch the trailer here) are getting rave reviews, but now we have the first visually stunning trailer for Burning Man, a drama from Jonathan Teplitzky featuring Matthew Goode (Watchmen) as a man struggling to deal with personal tragedy and reacting wildly and recklessly to six women trying to save his life as he attempts to reconnect with his 8-year old son. See the trailer below!

Watch the first official trailer for Jonathan Teplitzky's Burning Man here:

Why is Tom behaving so badly? Six women and an eight-year-old boy are fighting, in very different ways, to help. But for Tom, it seems, there are no rules. Jonathan Teplitzky wrote and directed Burning Man the semi-autobiographical film that has been described as the reckless, provocative and moving story of a father and son’s journey back to happiness. Australian actress Bojana Novakovic co-stars along with Rachel Griffiths, Essie Davies, Anthony Hayes and Kerry Fox. Stay tuned for release date information.

They think they can sneak in a modified and slightly higher pitched song from SUNSHINE in their trailer and I won't notice?! Also, its nice to hear Rachel Griffiths using her natural Australian accent. I'm so used to her american accent when she played Brenda on Six Feet Under. As for the trailer....looks interesting.

"Surface of the Sun" by John Murphy. Its from Danny Boyle's "Sunshine."

Didn't he also do the soundtrack for 28 days later?

I believe not...the songs featured are "East Hastings" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. "A.M. 180" by Grandaddy, "Ava Maria" and of course "In The House in a Heart Beat" by John Murphy.

I loved the look of this, the trailer was maybe a bit long, but it looooks like a really great film.

It felt like the trailer ended, and then kept going for another 30 seconds anyway.  Looks good, wondering how they'll pull off 6 "love interests" without things getting confusing and convoluted, though.
