First Official Photo from Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' Unearthed Online
Ohhh hell yes, Ridley Scott is finally back at it, bringing us more of his classic sci-fi! The first official photo from Prometheus, Scott's first sci-fi movie in over 29 years, has just hit the web via twitpic online, and we're pretty sure this all there is so far. Not much is known about the plot of Prometheus yet, besides that it might indeed be an Alien prequel involving the Space Jockey seen in the giant ship, but other than that this is our first real glimpse at the atmosphere of the film. And as our very first look, this is just awesome, but I'm a big sci-fi geek. The presentation at Comic-Con is just about to start too, so we expect to see more soon.
Ridley Scott's Prometheus stars a cast including Michael Fassbender as an android, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce and Ben Foster. The screenplay was originally written by Jon Spaihts, then revised and updated by Lost's Damon Lindelof. We're still waiting to find out more about this and get an official synopsis that gives us a better idea of what to expect storywise. I really hope we're getting something reminiscent of Ridley's early sci-fi work, and it looks like we may. 20th Century Fox is bringing Prometheus to theaters everywhere on June 8th, 2012 next summer. Can't wait to see more, we will keep you updated.
