Franco, McBride and Others Joining 'Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse'
Earlier this month we learned that the long-gestating apocalyptic comedy Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse starring Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel would go before cameras in February with Rogen also working as a co-director with his Superbad and Neighborhood Watch writing partner Evan Goldberg. At the time, Rogen said, "It's now much more than just Jay and Seth -- there's many other people versus the apocalypse now." Well, Rogen recently spoke to MTV and revealed that Danny McBride, James Franco, Jonah Hill and Craig Robinson will all be around for the end of the world as well. Read on!
Rogen added that, "We all play ourselves." I'm not sure if that means they'll be playing the celebrity versions of themselves, or simply regular on-screen versions in the same way that Jonah Hill, Jason Segel, Jay Baruchel, Martin Starr and Rogen played some version of themselves in Knocked Up. Either way, Rogen said, "It's going to be a pretty offensive vision of the apocalypse. And I want a lot of dead celebrity cameos. Because L.A. is full of famous people, I'd like all of the cameos to be them as corpses." However, while Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was once rumored to be involved, Rogen says, ""It doesn't look like he's willing to push things as far as we [are]." Disappointing for sure, but there will be plenty more high profile celebrity cameos to satisfy audiences.
