After being a staple, though not always an obvious one, in most of the films from Quentin Tarantino, it looks like Samuel L. Jackson will reunite with the writer/director yet again. Variety reports the actor will re-team with the filmmaker for a fifth time with a role in the spaghetti western Django Unchained. In the film, Jackson will play Stephen, a house slave and the right-hand man of a sadistic slavemaster. He only improves an already fantastic cast including Jamie Foxx as the titular freed slave, Leonardo DiCaprio as a ruthless plantation owner and Kevin Costner as his top henchman. More below!
In addition, another report says "Deadwood" star Gerald McRaney will saddle up for the western in an unspecified role. To recap, the story follows a freed slave named Django (Foxx) who, under the tutelage of a German bounty hunter (who will played by Christoph Waltz) becomes a bad-ass bounty hunter himself. Then after helping his German mentor, the two team-up to track down Django's slave wife and liberate her from a man named Calvin Candie (DiCaprio), who is a charming but ruthless plantation owner that Django must cross in order to get his wife back. This is already one of my most anticipated films of 2012.
