GK Films Picks Up 'Tomb Raider' Reboot Rights, Set to Arrive 2013
by Alex Billington
March 7, 2011
Briefly: We all knew this was coming, even after Cradle of Life. Not much news to report yet, but The Wrap and EW are reporting that GK Films, run by producer Graham King, has announced today they've acquired feature film rights for a reboot of the action-adventure Tomb Raider, based on Eidos/Square Enix's iconic video game series. Although it is a reboot, we still don't know who is directing, writing, or who will take the place of Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft. All that we do know for now is that it'll hit theaters in 2013 and that GK Films is "very excited to be rebooting what is already a hugely successful film franchise." Anyone else?
