Later this holiday season we'll get a taste of his first venture into big screen comedy with A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas opening on November 4th, but director Todd Strauss-Schulson has already lined up another gig. Heat Vision reports the comedy director is attached to helm an untitled action adventure comedy that will take place in Brazil. Details are being kept under wraps, but the filmmaker came up with the idea, developed it with Chris Galleta (who will write the screenplay) and will also produce the film through his Ulterior Productions banner along with experienced comedy production company Mosaic.
If Mosaic doesn't sound familiar, they've produced films like Bad Teacher, Land of the Lost, and plenty of Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Judd Apatow collaborations. Though we've yet to see Strauss-Schulson's work on the big screen, his short films like Mano a Mano or Die Hardly Working pretty much speak for themselves. It's good to hear that he's pairing up with an established comedy production company like Mosaic, and if A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas makes the big splash we all hope it will this holiday season (New Line seems to be confident by working with him again on this project too), then I'm sure we'll see plenty more laughs coming from Strauss-Schulson in the future.
