Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Talks to Board Tarantino's 'Django Unchained'
If the cast of Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming spaghetti western Django Unchained is already pretty damn impressive with names like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L Jackson, Kurt Russell and Don Johnson all ready to saddle up for the film. Now Variety reports that Inception and The Dark Knight Rises star Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to join the cast as well. It's not mentioned what role he would be taking, and this isn't exactly a done deal yet since he would have to sort out some scheduling issues that would stop him from shooting when production begins in New Orleans in January.
This would reunite Gordon-Levitt and DiCaprio after both turning in fantastic performances in Inception, and continues quite a hot streak for Gordon-Levitt who also has a role working with Steven Spielberg on Lincoln. There might even be some Oscar love coming his way for his recent turn in 50/50. We'll next see Gordon-Levitt in the high-speed action flick Premium Rush which was originally slated for a January release, but has now been shifted back to August 24th. That could be good news for the film since January doesn't have the greatest release reputation, or it could be bad if the film isn't up to par to be release so soon. Either way, Gordon-Levitt has made some great choices in his career lately, and he seems to be continuing that trend with Django Unchained.
