'Knights of Badassdom' Director Next Helming Action Thriller 'Everly'

Starting off with a film like Wrong Turn 2, doesn't sound like the best way to kick-off a filmmaking career, but since then, director Joe Lynch has crafted Knights of Badassdom, a film about a crew of LARPers (including "Community" star Danny Pudi) who find themselves facing more than their imagination when a real-life demon with a taste for blood and souls shows up. We're still not sure when we'll see that film, described as a "heavy metal adventure," Variety says Lynch has his next film in Everly, which sounds like a refreshing action thriller. The story focuses on a woman stuck in her apartment, but that's not the problem.
The down-on-her-luck resident finds herself forced to fend off waves of assassins sent by her ex-boyfriend, a dangerous mob boss. What really makes this interesting though, is the entire film will be set in one room. Though the concept comes from Lynch, the script comes from Yale Hannon and it actually made the 2010 Black List. Essentially it's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World by way of 12 Angry Men (other single room set stories escape me at the moment). Apparently a female lead is being sought right now with an eye towards shooting this winter in New Orleans. The single room setting will force the action to be more captivating without a change in setting to spice things up, so I think this could be something really fantastic. What do you think?
