Meh: First Official Trailer for Indie Thriller 'The Ledge' with Liv Tyler
"God… help me." Matthew Chapman's The Ledge is the first of a couple of "on the ledge" thrillers coming up featuring various people about to jump to their deaths and the people that try and talk them down. This one, which premiered at Sundance this year, is the more religious one that touches upon life and death and God and so on. Yahoo has debuted the official trailer for The Ledge, which stars Charlie Hunnam, Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler and Terrence Howard. Sadly, I heard some awful reviews at Sundance, like one of the worst films of the fest, so I stayed away. This trailer doesn't do much to change my mind, either.

A thriller in which a battle of philosophies between a fundamentalist Christian and an atheist escalates into a lethal battle of wills. As Hollis (Howard) tries to persuade Gavin (Hunnam) not to jump, each man begins to open up about his past, and we discover that neither of them is convinced his life is worth living.
The Ledge is both written and directed by Matthew Chapman, a writer who hasn't helmed anything since 1988, but directed films like Heart of Midnight, Strangers Kiss and Hussy in the 80s. This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year. IFC Films is bringing The Ledge to VOD and theaters starting June 29th.
