Michael Clarke Duncan Will Be Voicing Kilowog in 'Green Lantern'!

Briefly: It has been officially confirmed by Heat Vision that actor Michael Clarke Duncan will be voicing the alien Kilowog in DC Comics' Green Lantern movie. The news was originally revealed by Latino Review a few weeks back and THR says Duncan is now "in negotiations" for the voice role. Kilowog (seen above) from the planet Bolovax Vik in Sector 674 is a drill sergeant trainer of new recruits for the Green Lantern Corps and, despite that rather menacing look, is a beloved fan favorite character. Glad to see them putting care and concern into every last detail of Green Lantern. If you haven't yet, watch the WonderCon footage!

Dunno about you guys but when I watched the scenes on Oa I never noticed how CG-looking the characters were, I just accepted that they were alien. The only thing I'm not psyched about is the sheer amount I'll spend on movies this summer.

No no, the acting is done, all the CGI was recorded with performance capture. But the voices are being recorded now to use for the characters. They just wanted better voices than the physical mo-cap guys they used.

Michael Clarke Duncan is a great choice and has a great voice. Duncan has a commanding voice which is perfect for Kilowog. It'll probably be some fun scenes training Earth's Green Lantern.

It's hard not to be excited about anything with Michael Clark Duncan involved! Does anyone else think, though, that Kilowog looks a lot like the cave troll from LotR: FotR?
