Chris Pratt

Though some of the best moments in the thriving career of Chris Pratt come in the form of his starring roles on TV series like "Everwood" and "Parks & Recreation," the actor has also enjoyed some good supporting roles in films like Wanted and most recently Moneyball. Now Twitch has word that an unlikely role for Pratt is in the works with the actor in talks for a lead role in Kathryn Bigelow's action drama formerly known as Kill Bin Laden. The project was already in development before the death of the infamous terrorist, but upon Bin Laden's the death the film got a higher profile and needed to be reworked.

Meanwhile, the only role that seems to be the most official so far is "Chicago Code" and Public Enemies star Jason Clarke landing a role with names like Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce, Jennifer Ehle (Contagion), Idris Elba, Rooney Mara and Nina Arianda (Midnight in Paris) all being considered for roles as well. Interestingly enough, most of the names in consideration aren't American, but that's not really a big deal when you have this caliber of talent in the line-up. However, Pratt certainly looks like an All-American soldier, even if he has to beef up a little bit for the gig. Either way, this should be a great follow-up for Bigelow's Oscar winning turn as the director of The Hurt Locker, and audiences will hopefully be interested in the international headline-making story when the time comes.

  • Andy Dwyer killing Bin Laden? Let's refer to an Andy Dwyer quote for reference: (Talking into his cell phone) "April! Hey, it's me. Andy... Dwyer. Uh, this is like the 200th time I've left you a message without a response, so if you're trying to tell me something, I do not know what it is because you won't call me back." Yeah. Not sure about sweet Andy Dwyer on this one. 😉
