Another Happy Day Trailer

"This is my family and this is hell." Phase 4 Films has debuted a red band (mostly for language) trailer via Deadline for Sam Levinson's indie dramedy Another Happy Day, starring primarily Ellen Barkin, Ezra Miller (from We Need to Talk About Kevin) and Kate Bosworth. It's another wedding family craziness indie drama, the guys at NY Post describe it best: "an utterly routine dramedy aimed at middle-aged and older women, revisits the territory of Rachel Getting Married and Margot at the Wedding." Sounds okay. The supporting cast includes Thomas Haden Church, Demi Moore and Ellen Burstyn, too. Check this out.

Watch the official red band trailer for Sam Levinson's Another Happy Day, via Deadline:

A marriage at her parents' Annapolis estate hurls high-strung mother Lynn (Ellen Barkin) into the center of touchy family dynamics over the course of the wedding. Written by Sam Levinson in only four weeks.

Another Happy Day was both written and directed by young filmmaker Sam Levinson, the son of director Barry Levinson, making his feature directing debut on this film. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and also played at the SXSW, Deauville, Athens, Zurich and Mill Valley Film Festivals. Phase 4 Films will be releasing Another Happy Day in limited theaters starting November 18th this fall.

Maybe you shouldn't take your cues from The New York Post. I don't know what you just watched, but the trailer I saw on your site looks fantastic. I don't care what genre it's in.

  • Super happy fun times! Another middle class white peoples family drama, how spiffing. I'll watch it anyway.

      what does "how spiffing" mean?
      • Spiffing is a word that posh English people use, well used to use, it's used like 'oooh how great'. Along with words like Tally Ho, Jolly Hockeysticks and lets have sex with each other to keep the money in the family. I don't know what I'm doing anymore, possibly need to lie down.
