Morgan Freeman & Annette Bening for Rob Reiner's 'The Third Act'
If you haven't seen director Rob Reiner's latest film Flipped, please do yourself a favor and watch it as soon as you can, it's a fantastic flick that many folks missed. Reiner has already lined up his next film, something entirely new, called The Third Act, as the director himself told Showbiz411 (via /Film): "I'm working on a film the title of it now is now called The Third Act-it looks like we'll have Morgan Freeman and Annette Bening in it together… It hasn't been announced." They haven't started shooting, but Reiner reveals, "I'm directing, producing and doing some rewriting from an original script by a fellow named Guy Thomas."
Besides that casting and title, that's all we know about this project, but Germain from /Film makes a good guess about what we might expect: "Third Act is a commonly-used phrase for the part of a person's life after retirement. So, it'll probably be something along the lines of two retirees who fall in love and that leads me to believe it's going to be a film similar to Reiner's The Bucket List or It's Complicated, which he didn't do, but was about older people falling in love." I'm more of a fan of Reiner's work about younger characters, but I'm always looking forward to whatever he has, especially if its Freeman & Bening are leading the way.
