Evil Dead Tribute Video

"Groovy!" We've received multiple ecstatic emails from readers today about an awesome new Evil Dead tribute video created by Nick Bosworth for JoBlo that's making its way around the web. "In celebration of Halloween this year, we'd like to honor one of the greatest horror trilogies ever as the Evil Dead trilogy celebrates its 30th year both in scaring us and making us laugh." It's an outstanding video (featuring some Queen!), the perfect way to kick off Halloween morning and remind you how amazing Sam Raimi's horror trilogy truly is. As said in one of our emails: "Epic and funny are the key words!" He's dead on. Have fun!

Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead first premiered in 1981 in Michigan, but didn't hit video until 1983. He followed that up with Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn in 1987 and Army of Darkness in 1992 to complete his epic trilogy starring Bruce Campbell as the unforgettable, legendary "Ash" Williams. This trilogy certainly wouldn't be what it was without Campbell and Raimi. Another reader said in his email: "I didn't realize it's actually been 30 years since the first Evil Dead came out and these guys made a terrific dedication to the trilogy... It's the best horror trilogy ever!" Indeed, it might just be. Hope everyone enjoyed this - Happy Halloween!

No. Just a remake. Produced by Raimi, I believe. Still against it though.

excellent tribute. effects may have come a long way since 1981, but characterisation and directing fused to perfect effect with Campbell and Raimi. that's why we still watch the trilogy - we love the characters and the style. remake? pfft. hail to the king.
