Nicholas Hoult Set to Lead Bryan Singer's Epic 'Jack the Giant Killer'
A few glimpses of the actor can be seen in the trailer for X-Men: First Class where he plays a young Hank McCoy (aka Beast), but now British actor Nicholas Hoult has landed another high profile role in another Bryan Singer project. Deadline reports Hoult has landed the titular role of Jack the Giant Killer in the joint production from New Line Cinema, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. He joins recently cast actors Stanley Tucci and Bill Nighy in the action epic. It's hard to believe that the awkward young kid who shared the screen with Hugh Grant in About a Boy has grown up to be a member of the X-Men and a notorious giant killer.
The actor truly is on quite a fast track to becoming a big star. In addition to X-Men: First Class and Jack the Giant Killer, the actor is also already slated to star in Fury Road, the anticipated Mad Max prequel from George Miller. He's already seen some epic action with a supporting role in Clash of the Titans, but here Hoult will really see some action in the story which sees a long-standing peace between humans and giants threatened when a young farmer (Hoult) tries to rescue a princess who was kidnapped and taken to the giants' kingdom. This is a project I'm definitely looking forward to in the future. How about you?
