Sean Bean Cast as the King in Tarsem's Upcoming 'Snow White' Movie
Though he didn't get an Emmy nom, at least he booked a good role in another movie. THR/Variety report that Sean Bean, currently seen on HBO's "Game of Thrones", is now in final negotiations to join the cast of Tarsem's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White. The project is already shooting with Julia Roberts playing the evil queen and Lily Collins playing her step-daughter, both of whom vie for the affection of the prince, Armie Hammer. Bean will play the King, Snow White's father, in the film, which is already in production up in Montreal, which is why Tarsem won't be at Comic-Con. At least his cast just got a whole lot more badass.
In this version of Snow White, which will stay truer to the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Bean will play the supporting role of Snow White's father, the King, who loses his wife when Snow White is born. His kingdom is destroyed by the Evil Queen, and the rest of the story we all know. Tarsem's Snow White also already has its full dwarf cast lined-up, but they're not going with major names, as we covered back when they were announced in May. I'm a big fan of Sean Bean and always happy to see him anywhere, be it on the big or small screen, because he almost always kicks ass. I'm interested to see what Tarsem will do with him.
