INTERVIEWS
Sundance Video Interview: 'Cedar Rapids' Actor/Comedian Ed Helms
by Alex Billington
February 8, 2011
We're a bit behind on some Sundance coverage, but we're catching up now, and the first thing I wanted to bring you guys was our interview with actor & comedian Ed Helms, who stars as Tim "Timbo" Lippe in Fox Searchlight's Cedar Rapids (watch the trailer) that is coincidentally arriving in theaters this very weekend! Ethan and I sat down with Helms for a 15-minute discussion about all things from his work on Cedar Rapids (watch our video review from Sundance) to staying sharp with jokes to his other comedian friends appearing the film and much more. It's a fun and funny interview, we hope you check it out! Video is embedded below.

Ethan & I both thought Cedar Rapids was funny, a solid indie comedy, but not a classic or a knock out. It's still worth seeing, though. Watch the trailer or our review. Director Miguel Arteta's interview will be next.
Cedar Rapids is directed by Puerto Rican filmmaker Miguel Arteta, of indie flicks Chuck & Buck, The Good Girl and Youth in Revolt previously. The screenplay was written by newcomer Phil Johnston, of A Thousand Words, Flightless Birds and Ghosts/Aliens previously. Fox Searchlight produced and is distributing the film, which will be premiering at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Cedar Rapids will then hit limited theaters on February 11th after the fest. It's a good comedy worth seeing, especially if you love any of the actors in it!
