TV's Logan Marshall-Green Also Lands a Lead Role in 'Prometheus'
Another name to add to the crew list for Ridley Scott's new sci-fi Prometheus. And I don't mean behind-the-scenes crew, I mean on the spaceship in the movie. Actor Logan Marshall-Green, mostly known for "24", "The O.C.", "Traveler" and "Dark Blue" on TV, though he also appeared in Devil and Brooklyn's Finest, has been cast in another lead role in Prometheus, according to Deadline. Marshall-Green will play the role of Holloway, a crewman on the spaceship and the love interest for the character that Noomi Rapace will play. He'll join actors Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris and Kate Dickie in the movie.
Prometheus, the first sci-fi movie from Ridley Scott since Blade Runner in 1982, is set to start shooting soon in London. "There's action in it," Fassbender said in a previous post about the project, "but the intelligence is what struck me when I read it. It's more sort of like the [original Alien films]. There are things happening and building, and the intelligence of the first two-thirds of the film gets you ready for the action." Fox has already scheduled Prometheus for release on June 8th, 2012 next summer, so we've got a while to go, but it sounds better every day, from casting to the concept. I'm quite excited! We'll be sure to keep you updated.
