Last week we found out James Gandolfini would reunite with David Chase, the creator of "The Sopranos," for his feature directorial debut that may or may not be called Twylight Zones. The film takes place in 1960's New Jersey and follows a rock 'n' roll band named The Twylight Zones the families surrounding the band members. Now Variety has word on a whole slew of new cast members, starting with Brad Garrett ("Everybody Loves Raymond"), Christopher McDonald (Fanboys), Lisa Lampanelli (Drillbit Taylor), Molly Price (How Do You Know) and Bella Heathcote ("Neighbours") rounding out this full cast.
We already know that Gandolfini is playing the disapproving father of one of the main characters and band members (played by John Magaro). Chase says most of the story follows a post-war, post-Depression era parent who has given his kid every advantage that he didn't have growing up, but now can't help feeling jealous of the liberated, more adventurous destiny his son is able to enjoy." As for the new cast members, Price will play the boy's mother, Lampanelli will play his aunt and McDonald will play the father of the boy's love interest (played by Heathcote). Meanwhile, Garret is playing a composer/music producer. Sounds like quite an interesting assembly of talent. What do you think?
