Warner Bros. Already Planning Another 'Clash of the Titans' Sequel
Though the sequel Wrath of the Titans doesn't hit until March 30th, 2012, apparently Warner Bros. is already interested in a third film in the franchise that kicked off with Clash of the Titans, the remake of the original 1981 film of the same name. Heat Vision has word that the studio and Legendary Pictures are already working on another sequel with Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson (who wrote the forthcoming second film) will return to develop and write a treatment for the sequel which will continue the battles and adventures of Sam Worthington as Perseus. Check out some brief, spoilerish details below!
Apparently a character named Agenor, Poseidon's demigod son and a sort of sidekick in the film played by Toby Kebbell, will likely fit in to the next sequel since Wrath of the Titans is said to allow for his return. Perhaps something happens which could result in Agenor becoming the villain for the third film? We'll have to wait and see how the second film plays out next year before we find out. New of a third film isn't all that surprising considering the remake's director Louis Leterrier promised a trilogy back in March of 2010. As for the second film, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Danny Huston are all reprising their godly roles from the first film with Edgar Ramirez, Rosamund Pike, Bill Nighy and more joining the sword and sandal series.
