Watch: Amanda Seyfried Freaks in Heitor Dhalia's 'Gone' First Trailer
"I'll sleep when he's dead." Summit has released the first trailer for the thriller Gone, directed by Brazilian Heitor Dhalia, starring Amanda Seyfried as a girl whose sister gets abducted, and now she thinks the serial killer has returned for her. I'm with Brad Miska in saying that this looks "50% awesome and 50% god awful", because I'm hoping it's a great movie in the end, as I'm a fan of Heitor Dhalia and hope he does well. I think I hear more of the Tron Legacy score in this, and it's a rather intense, revealing full-length trailer, so enjoy. Also co-stars Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Stan, Wes Bentley, Joel David Moore and Michael Paré.
Watch the first official trailer for Heitor Dhalia's Gone, in high def thanks to Yahoo:
Jill Parrish comes home from working the night shift to discover that her sister Molly has disappeared. Jill is convinced that Molly has been abducted by the same serial killer from whom Jill escaped the year before and that by sundown Molly will be dead. The police think Jill is crazy, so she sets out alone to rescue her.
Gone is directed by up-and-coming Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia, of the films Adrift (one of my faves), Drained and Nina. The screenplay was written by Allison Burnett, of Bleeding Hearts, Autumn in New York, Resurrecting the Champ, Feast of Love, Untraceable and Fame previously. Lakeshore Ent. and SKE Films produced, and Summit is bringing Gone to theaters on February 24, 2012 early next year. Um, yea?
