The Motion Pictures of 2011

Our first retrospective video looking back at 2011 in cinema just hit a few days ago, now another in the long line of forthcoming videos has cropped up thanks to Kidnin (via Awards Daily). Unlike the first video recalling this year in film, this one only seems to slow down for seconds at a time with a fast-paced edit pretty consistent throughout. There are plenty more films included in The Motion Pictures of 2011 as well including some of my favorites such as Like Crazy, Win Win, The Beaver, Drive and many more. Kudos for some great use of Florence and the Machine and Depeche Mode to some fantastic cuts. Watch!

The video's creator says: "Many good films came out this year. Obviously, I wasn't able to include all of them in this clip. That would be impossible to edit. But many of them are in here; 226 of them to be exact. This video took about two months of editing on a daily basis to complete and is by far the biggest project I've ever edited." Kidnin has included a list of all four songs used in the project and a timecode breakdown of every single clip within the video right here. Stay tuned as plenty more 2011 retrospective videos show up. Good?

i made this one... it's a countdown. wanted to stress the films that mattered to me from this year, not simply the films that *happened* to me.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0kkO8ZVTOA
