I Saw the Devil Red Band Trailer

This is how Koreans get revenge. Magnet has debuted a new red band trailer on IGN for The Good, the Bad, the Weird director Kim Ji-woon's latest film I Saw the Devil, a "heart-pumping, face-pummeling revenge flick from Korea" (as /Film's Adam Quigley calls it). The revenge thriller stars Lee Byung-hun, also from The Good, the Bad, the Weird, as a secret agent who tracks down the serial killer that murdered his fiancée. Everyone has been raving about it and the trailer will live up to expectations, it just looks incredible. Korean films aren't for everyone, but I'm excited. I love how pumped up this makes you by the end. Watch below.

Watch the official red band trailer for Kim Ji-woon's I Saw the Devil:

Starring Byung-hun Lee (The Good, the Bad, the Weird) and Min-sik Choi (Lady Vengeance) the story in I Saw the Devil follows a young secret agent as he tracks a brutal serial killer who murdered his fiancée, but the hunter decides he likes playing with his catch. Quint from AICN calls it "brutal, intense and just plain old awesome," while our own Jeremy Kirk says the film is "nothing short of staggering, dark and confident" and "sometimes stunningly beautiful." The film also played at the Sundance Film Festival last month and will finally be arriving in limited theaters starting on March 4th. I'm definitely going to see it.

That was staggering! If it's anything like The Vengeance Trilogy (and it seems to be just like that) I'm in. Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy and Sympathy For Lady Vengeance were so great... all of them; I was surprised by how much I enjoyed that trilogy. Koreans know how to get revenge!

I saw this earlier this year and it is purely an amazing watch. Especially if you are a big fan of Kim Ji-woon or just generally enjoy films like Old Boy etc. No doubt this is more explicit and my girlfriend refused to watch any more after 30mins in, which was a bit annoying - but meh.
