Intruders Trailer

"You can't run from what's already inside." Empire has debuted a teaser trailer for a new horror/thriller called Intruders from Spanish director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo starring Clive Owen. While at first glance this sounds/looks like it could be The Strangers meets Insidious, it actually seems like it's something unique and creepy on its own. The story centers on an 11-year old girl who's forced to confront childhood demons, and we get an early tease by way of this eerie trailer which doesn't show much. I'm intrigued, but also just a little freaked out. Kerry Fox, Carice van Houten and Daniel Brühl also star in this. Watch below!

Watch the first teaser trailer for Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's Intruders:

A thriller centered on the origin of the monsters that are born in childhood and are passed on by a family.

Intruders is directed by up-and-coming Spanish filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who directed Intacto and 28 Weeks Later previously, was attached to BioShock, and is now attached to The Crow remake. The screenplay was co-written by Nicolás Casariego & Jaime Marques. This was shot last summer in London with Universal Pictures developing. Empire says Intruders will be released in the UK this October, but we're not sure if it has a US distributor or release date. If you're intrigued, stick around for updates. Thoughts?

  • Interesting, besides the Crow remake which shouldn't even be considered by anyone, Fresnadillo has done good work and is a promising up and comer, if that can even be said at this time.

Opening was creepy, but not enough given to decide whether this will be worthwhile. I like Owen. Have to hope this isn't the start of a downward spiral for him by delving into horror. Hopefully this isn't "The Strangers" remix.
  • I found this teaser filled with creepy goodness. Love to see more. Clive delivers.
  • video and audio are out of sync but looks good

Am I the only one that thought the ad for Death Instinct was the trailer?
  • I LOVE Owen and 28 weeks later, so it should be interesting.
