The ABCs of Death Teaser Trailer

Whoa! This debuted last week, but we just say today thanks to AICN and it's wacky, wild, R-rated as all hell, and awesome. IGN posted a first very red band teaser trailer for Drafthouse Films' The ABCs of Death, an anthology horror project that will feature a total of 26 shorts created by various horror directors and one budding filmmaker. This trailer is look at the incredibly wide range of submissions they've had so far for the 26th slot, as they'll ultimately only be able to choose one of the submissions. Either way, there's some very crazy footage in this, and it's a must watch for anyone who can stomach it (and is not at work). Enjoy!

Check out this early red band teaser trailer for Drafthouse Films' The ABCs of Death, via IGN:

From the directors of House of the Devil, Hobo With a Shotgun, A Serbian Film, You're Next & many more comes the genre film event of 2012. The ABCs of Death is an ambitious anthology film featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world's leading talents in contemporary genre film. Inspired by children's educational books, The ABCs of Death is comprised of 26 individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were given free reign to choose a word to represent a form of death based on their letter. A contest is being held for the 26th short film spot, and any home-made videos were submitted online. You can still vote for your top choice online at until October 31st. The winner will be revealed officially on November 15th. Stay tuned for more updates!

Hey everyone, I have entered this contest and am currently 10th in the voting, but it's a very close race, so please check out my film and if you enjoy it, lend me your vote so I have a chance to get the film in front of the judges and possibly get a huge break in my career. My film stars character actor Daniel Roebuck (Dr. Arzt from Lost, amongst many other things) as a serial killer in a battle of wills against a girl scout trying to sell him cookies who won't take no for an answer. It's a darkly humorous, twisted little tale and we're all very proud of it! Please let me know what you think of it. This is the first thing I've directed that's out there for the public, so feedback is always appreciated. Thanks so much for all of your help!

Yours is actually very good. I haven't seen others, so I won't compare. But I liked it, loved the creepy irony, made me smile. It wasn't a big unexpectable twist, but it was charmly done. Good job 😉 And I wish you the best for future work/opportunities! PS: I tried to vote but couldn't, every time i clicked it a box appeared but then disappeared :

Ricardo, thank you for checking out the film and for the kind words.  I appreciate you trying to vote for the film as well.  I know there have been some bugs in the voting system, but it's the thought that counts, right?  I just hope I don't lose by one vote. :)

Hi you all, I have entered in this contest and  am currently not in the top 10 nor is my film featured anywhere in the trailer... so please give my film "T is for Talbet" a look and a vote! Its a creepy little tale about hoarding and stars the lovely Caroline Jaden Stussi! Thank you!

A clip from my film made it into the trailer as well. :)  I encourage people to check out the films even if you don't vote for mine (but please vote for mine anyway).

Looks awesome.  Love the idea.  But 26 short films?  Are they each only 5 minutes long?
  • Josh
Our film's the one with the ax to the head at the end of this trailer. It's pretty damn fine. Vote for it. T is for Time (number 3).
