Piranha 3DD Teaser Trailer

There's something in the water! Get ready, as the sequel to Piranha you never knew you wanted is already here! Dimension Films unveiled the first 30 second official teaser trailer on Spike TV's Scream Awards last night for Piranha 3DD—yes that's the official title—directed by John Gulager. Once again featuring the likes of Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, and newcomers like Danielle Panabaker, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden and David Hasselhoff as well. This looks about as wild as any follow-up to that first crazy movie as possible. It already delivers on everything you're expecting, with double the D's in every way.

Watch the first official teaser trailer for John Gulager's Piranha 3DD, via Spike TV:

After Lake Victoria, the pre-historic school of blood-thirsty piranhas make their way elsewhere. This time, no one is safe as they sink their teeth into the visitors of the summer attraction The Big Wet Water Park.

Piranha 3DD is directed by American filmmaker John Gulager, who debuted with Feast along with writers Marcus Dunstan & Patrick Melton, who went on to together writer & direct two more Feast movies. The screenplay for this was written by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, who got their start on "Project Greenlight" with their horror project Feast. The Weinstein Company & Dimension Films will be releasing Piranha 3DD in 3D in theaters everywhere starting sometime in 2012, as an official date hasn't been set yet.

"Sorry, this video is unavailable from your location." Because, you know,  I might have wanted to go and see the movie if I'd been able to see the trailer. But probably not.

That teaser trailer is hilarious but the first film was still horrible.

I was in the library when I watched it this morning and I just couldn't stop laughing. This looks better than the first. It's like they're just embracing their trashiness on a whole new level. I hope it holds up!

There's nothing sexy about those fake boobs bouncing in your face.

I was wondering how they were going to bring him back, cause you know, the first one implied that he was completely devoured, or devoured enough to be pronounced dead

At first I was like "I don't really wanna see this." Then I was like "Alright, fine. I'll see it, Ving Rhames. Stop being so great." I don't know, my love of carnage and my love of boobs don't overlap all that far. I kind of like my boobs a little further away from the murderfish. But I'll still rent this fucker so fast.

The first one had some of the best 3d I have seen in a movie. This is a sad fact.
