Indiana Jones and Nathan Drake

There's a video that's been making the rounds over the past couple days, and one of our loyal readers was kind enough to send it our way yesterday. It's an Inception-like model or something Charlie Kaufman might write as Harrison Ford, the man who brought life to adventurer Indiana Jones, sits down to play a little bit of the forthcoming video game Uncharted: Drake's Deception, featuring Nathan Drake, a character very much inspired by Doctor Jones. The Pixel Pulse posted the video which is some kind of promotion for the game's release on November 1st, and it really looks like Ford knows his way around video games.

Here's the promo video for Uncharted: Drake's Deception featuring Harrison Ford:

As you can see, there's a whole crew around Ford filming his every move as he controls the character that pretty much emulates his own work in the Indiana Jones franchise over the years. And while it's not as if there aren't plenty of older guys who don't enjoy video games, it's great to see somebody like Ford cutting loose and really enjoying the game. His commentary on the action and environments is pretty cool, and if there's anyone who isn't already planning on picking up the Playstation 3 game, then this just might get you on board. Too bad Ford's just a tad too old to play Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie in the works.

did anyone else notice that his controller is not on?

Meddle13 on Oct 20, 2011

the light was clearly on LOL your an idiot.

A Villa88 on Oct 20, 2011

Controllers not even on so it seems to me considering its a commercial for the Japanese audience (where Hollywood celebrities go to shill anything) that this is entirely fabricated. The only reason this longer form less commercially type video is out there is because people loved the shorter real commercials and wanted to see more.

i bet you he bought the playstation off of the crew after they were done shooting just to finish the game.

Since when does Ford have pierced ears??!!

JBrotsis on Oct 20, 2011

Dood, he's had at least one fo them pierced since the late 90's, I believe...

RPD on Oct 21, 2011

I doubt the people who made this are so daft to leave the controller off. If you wanted to fake it.. does not take a scientist to set the controller to #2 so the light is on but not controlling the game.

Kaim on Oct 21, 2011

He just button-mashed that whole fake promo for SCEJ. Just another acting day for Harrison. Good job!
