Watch: 'Harry Potter' Documentary 'When Harry Left Hogwarts' Trailer
Normally we don't cover such work as this, but with a franchise as epic as Hary Potter, a documentary chronicling the making of the multi-billion dollar series is just too good to pass up. In this case the feature won't be making a theatrical run, but the documentary entitled When Harry Left Hogwarts will be available on one of the home video releases of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (though we're not sure if it's on both the DVD and Blu-Ray). The filmmakers start by asking some of the star-studded cast like Helena Bonham Carter and what they think the documentary should be about.
Here's the trailer for Morgan Matthews documentary When Harry Left Hogwarts (via SFX):
It's great that Gary Oldman is so blunt to say, "It would be nice if it was talented. Most of these things are awful." This looks like much less of the fluffy, featurettes that normally show up on DVD's for just a fleeting look at the series and the standard talk from the actors of how great it was to work with one another. I like how candid the interviews seem to be, and hearing from all the actors, especially those who completely transform and put on quite a theatrical performance. Personally, I can't wait to check this out when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II hits shelves on November 11th. Look good?
