Watch: New Trailer for Sci-Fi 'Lock-Out', or 'Escape From M.S. One'
"Yea, I should've stayed in college." As awesome as this sci-fi movie looks, it's having an identity crisis. It was originally titled Lock-Out, or also Lockout (without a dash), but has now been retitled to MS One: Maximum Security in Europe, and Escape From M.S. One in the US (I wonder if that had anything to do with all the comparisons to Escape from New York?). Lock-Out stars Guy Pearce as a felon hired to go to a Maximum Security space station prison to rescue a girl, Maggie Grace. Thanks to Allocine we've got a new trailer in HD quality. It looks like some hard sci-fi, but still awesome, I'm excited to see this despite its title.
Watch the latest int. trailer for James Mather & Stephen St. Leger's Escape From M.S. One, via Allocine:
A man (Pearce) wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the US is offered freedom if he can rescue the president's daughter (Grace) from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates.
Lockout (or Lock-Out) is directed by French cinematographers James Mather & Stephen St. Leger, of only the short Prey Alone, making their feature directorial debut. The screenplay was co-written by Mather & St. Leger and filmmaker Luc Besson, who also executive produced the film at Europa Corp. FilmDistrict is releasing Lockout in the US, and has set an April 20th, 2012 release next year. Look good to anyone?
