Watch: Official Release Trailer for 'Tanner Hall' with Rooney Mara

"My heart only exists within the stone walls of that building." So this charming little indie premiered nearly two years ago at the Toronto Film Fest in 2009. I saw it there, it's not bad, it's a quaint coming-of-age flick, Rooney Mara stars in it and she's great, but that's about it. Well, Anchor Bay Films has held onto it for two years and is just now releasing it. Vulture has debuted a trailer and it seems like they're trying to sell it as a teen romance, but I don't know how well it'll stick. In addition to Mara, from The Social Network & Dragon Tattoo, this also stars Georgia King, Brie Larson and, oddly enough, Chris Kattan in a dramatic role. Enjoy!

Tanner Hall is a vivid peek into the private world of an all-girls boarding school. In rural New England, the knot of adolescent complexity is unraveled through the coming of age stories of four teenage girls.

Tanner Hall is written & directed by first-time directors Tatiana von Furstenberg & Francesca Gregorini, both of whom attended boarding schools. It was written while they were at Brown University and filmed in Rhode Island. This premiered at the Toronto Film Festival way back in late 2009, and is just now getting released by Anchor Bay Films. Tanner Hall arrives in limited theaters starting on September 9th this fall.

I feel as though the teen romance part of this will be the weakest part.

It looks great, but it is a bit immature that it just HAPPENS to be set in 1970s New England, and just HAPPENS to take place at "The Colinwood Mansion" (see poster), and that the girl's name just HAPPENS to be Victoria.
