If swooning teenage girls as a sparkly vampire just wasn't enough of Robert Pattinson being dreamy, then you may want to turn your attention to Bel Ami from director Declan Donnellan. The story follows Georges Duroy (Pattinson), who travels through 1890s Paris, from cockroach ridden garrets to opulent salons, using his wits and powers of seduction to rise from poverty to wealth, from a prostitute’s embrace to passionate trysts with wealthy beauties. And all of this happens in a world where politics and media jostle for influence, where sex is power and celebrity an obsession. Now we have the new international trailer for the film below.

Bel Ami, based on Guy de Maupassant’s 1885 novel of the same name, is co-directed by English filmmakers Declan Donnellan and Nick Omerod, who last teamed for the 1992 film The Big Fish. The screenplay was adapted by Rachel Bennette. Robert Pattinson stars as a man's rise to power in Paris by manipulating the city's most influential and wealthy women like Christina Ricci, Kristen Scott Thomas, Uma Thurman, Holly Grainger and Natalia Tena. The film hits UK theaters starting on March 2nd early this year, and will likely arrive in US theaters from Columbia Pictures on the same day as well. We'll keep you updated. Thoughts?
