Happy Feet Two Trailer

"A penguin who can fly!" Warner Bros has debuted the second full trailer for the animated Happy Feet Two, their sequel to the animated musical created by Animal Logic back in 2006. We got a teaser trailer for this back in May, and sadly this full trailer looks even worse than that did. The cast isn't too exciting: Elijah Wood returns as Mumble and Robin Williams is back as Ramon, along with Pink, Elizabeth Daily, Sofía Vergara, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Hank Azaria. I was never a fan of this series anyway, but they've taken it too far with the music, I just can't stand it. But that's just me, I'm sure others might enjoy this! Have fun.

Mumble, The Master of Tap, has a problem because his son Erik is choreo-phobic. Reluctant to dance, Erik runs away and meets The Mighty Sven, a penguin who can fly! But the world is shaken by powerful forces.

Happy Feet Two is again both written and directed by Australian filmmaker George Miller, who started his career with films like the Mad Max trilogy, The Witches of Eastwick and Lorenzo's Oil, before delving into family films with Babe: Pig in the City and Happy Feet from 2006, which is surprisingly his most recent film. This was produced at Aussie animation house Animal Logic, also behind Legend of the Guardians. Warner Bros is releasing Happy Feet Two in theaters in 3D on November 18th in the fall. Who's excited?

Just to clarify, Happy Feet 2 is produced at Dr D Studios, not Animal Logic.

No wonder that's why it looks crappy compared to the first.

Animal Logic. Dr D. Horse dung. Same difference. You'd have to put a gun to my head to see this film.

Yeah...the super-sexualized singing baby penguins are pretty disturbing...

My wife loves the flick. I could go without.

It's like the chipmunks puked up some black and white hairballs. However; am I the only one who finds Robin Williams' "latino" penguin blatantly racist? Oh well, it least they didn't let George Lopez voice it. Lastly, I hope the "flying penguin" is voiced by Rob Schneider and his only line is "Tucan do it!".

I find it racist too. That is reason enough for me not to take my family to see this film. No thanks.

Meh.....hmmm 3D...Why am I not surprised? Pass

This could be in 1D and still look bad 😀

Meh. Pass.

Sorry of off-topic, Battleship trailer:

This was made at Dr D not Animal Logic, George Miller split from AL and started up his own partly co-owned studio. Please research correctly.

Makes no difference. This film looks cheap and its sensibilities are suspect. Clearly this film was made by people with no true knowledge of US urban culture other than what they see on tv. George Miller must be what? 60? 70? Never lived in the US. How would he know? Water looks like jello. The snow looks like styrofoam. Maybe he should go back to Animal Logic.

Not disagreeing on how it looks just making sure credit goes where it should. Especially if so many people think it looks bad, even more reason to make sure the proper people get credited.

Phattrick21 on Jul 27, 2011

Who's saying he's trying to comment on US urban culture? What, because the character has an accent?  Also, remember that socially conscious rapper Common's a big part of this film, so I don't think he'd go uninformed.

This looks absolutely horrible in so many ways.

DaftBot on Jul 27, 2011

I would like for them to stop trying to be so "clever" with the camera. I mean... come on! Camera moves like it's a character of it's own that's desperately crying out to be the center of attention.

Louise on Jul 27, 2011

That is a terrible trailer.

wow, it's like I'm being overwhelmed by over-the-top cynicism - it's fine that you guys might not like it, but it just sounds like you're trying SO hard not to like it. Seriously, take a break. This looks really promising. The editing isn't so great, because - like the first film - it's a bunch of out of context scenes that are probably going to be more serious (?) in the movie smashed together under a cute soundtrack. But, I do like what I'm seeing.  Chill with the up-your-own-assity, you guys.
