Must Watch: Wayne's World Tackles the 2011 Academy Awards Noms
If anyone out there has been complaining about "Saturday Night Live" not living up to the quality of the "good ole days," then this past weekend should've been a treat. Former cast member Dana Carvey returned to host the late night sketch series last weekend, and he brought a few special guests with him. Right from the cold open, the episode felt like it was being broadcast from the early 90's as Wayne's World kicked off the show with Wayne Campbell (special guest star and former cast member Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Carvey) scrutinizing the 2011 Best Picture nominees for the 83rd Academy Awards. Watch below!
Their faces may have aged a little bit, but these two comedy all-stars fell right back into the comfy chair's in Wayne's Mom's basement and delivered some hilarious nostalgia. Of course Wayne and Garth aren't exactly concerned with the awards themselves, and would rather just laugh at the sexual connotations of a title like Winter's Bone (they can make anything funny), but that's what Wayne's World has always been about. And with all the talk of another excellent adventure for Bill & Ted possibly coming in the near future, why not let Wayne and Garth make a return with Wayne's World 3? What do you think? More Wayne's World?
