Worth Watching: Official US Trailer for Sundance Hit 'Circumstance'
Winner of the Audience Award at this year's Sundance Film Festival was the film Circumstance, written and directed by Maryam Keshavarz. It's about two 16-year-old girls "struggling with their desires and the boundaries placed upon them by the world they were born into", which as you'll find out means these two have something romantic going on but are forbidden to be in love. THR's James Greenberg wrote a glowing review praising it's "modern rhythm and propulsive soundtrack" and "insiders look at a world few of us will ever get to see." This trailer really does look great, I'm definitely interested in seeing it. Give this a chance!

Set in the unseen world of contemporary Iranian youth culture, tells the story of two vivacious young girls - wealthy Atafeh and orphaned Shireen - discovering their burgeoning sexuality and, like 16 year-old girls anywhere, struggling with the desires and boundaries placed upon them by the world they were born into.
Circumstance is both written and directed by first-time filmmaker Maryam Keshavarz, who "registers a rare glimpse of forbidden love in today's Iranian youth culture" in this film. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival where it won the coveted Audience Award. Roadside Attractions is bringing Circumstance to theaters on August 19th late this summer.
