Adele Confirmed to Compose and Sing the Theme Song for 'Skyfall'
Everyone wanted it,the rumors have been circling for months, and now it's finally happening. According to Showbiz 411, chart-topping British singer Adele will compose and belt out the theme song for Sam Mendes' James Bond film Skyfall. If you haven't heard of Adele, you're either deaf or incredibly good at avoiding the radio or any music spewing device. She's made it big with songs like Rolling in the Deep, the wholly depressing Someone Like You and Set Fire to the Rain, each of which has been played to death on radio stations across the world. Thankfully, she's just good enough that many haven't gotten sick of her music.
Here's a taste of Adele's signature talents from her single Set Fire to the Rain:
Adele joins previous names like Madonna, Duran Duran, Paul McCartney, Tina Turner and Chris Cornell and Jack White with Alicia Keys for the two Daniel Craig installments. Adele has been wanted for the job ever since Amy Winehouse passed away (she was once rumored to craft her own James Bond title song as well). The singer has a sultry voice and great talent to make a great Bond title song. As of now, the song itself has been titled Skyfall, which isn't surprising on one level, but remember that the songs for Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale were not the titles of their respective theme songs. Stay tuned for updates.
