Alamo Drafthouse's Zack Carlson Brings Lord Humungus on TV News

"There has been too much violence, too much pain. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror." Who doesn't love Road Warrior, I mean come on? Crazy badass characters like this, Mel Gibson as the Road Warrior, tons of awesome cars, lots of action, Australian backcountry, what more could you ask for? As we've featured before, the Alamo Drafthouse is hosting a Summer of 1982 retrospective this summer, playing each movie from that summer all over again. Coming up this weekend is Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and Zack Carlson went on the local TV news to promote it, with Lord Humungus himself in tow.

Hah that was awesome, I had to feature this. Zack Carlson is one of the Alamo Drafthouse's top curators and cinephiles, partnered primarily with Lars Nilsen, for the team of "Zack and Lars", who program Terror Tuesday and Weird Wednesday. We're co-hosting the Tron event as part of the Alamo Drafthouse's Summer of 1982, but that's later on in July. For the full 1982 line-up, click here. Up next they're hosting a blow-out Demolition Derby Rolling Roadshow screening of Road Warrior at the Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, Texas.
