Bill Hader

After providing his spectacular voice talents to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the hilarious Bill Hader is lending his voice to yet another animated feature as Heat Vision reports the "Saturday Night Live" star will team up with Book of Mormon lead Josh Gad and actress Kate Hudson for Me & My Shadow, a new animated fantasy from DreamWorks Animation. The story follows Stan (Hader) a shadow who yearns for a more exciting life than being attached to a timid human named Stanley Grubb (Gad). Basically in the same way that Peter Pan's shadow gets a little out of sorts, Stan just dreams of something bigger. Read on!

But when a crime in the shadow community puts both of their lives in danger, Stan is forced to take control of Stanley, thrusting both of them into an adventure featuring a shadowy villain, who intends to lead a rebellion to take over the human world. Hudson will voice a love interest for Grubb in the real world. What sounds really cool about this project is that it will blend two different kinds of animation with the shadow world being handrawn and the human world being computer animated. It sounds like an animated hybrid kind of like Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and that's enough to get me excited. Allessandro Carloni, the head of story from How to Train Your Dragon will make his directorial debut with the film (great to have fresh talent get a big chance like this) which is scheduled for release on November 13th, 2013. Cool?

Wow, that's actually a pretty strong and unique concept -- that too coming from Dreamworks, who is more content with talking animals.
