Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence Reuniting for 'Serena' Drama
Later this year The Silver Linings Playbook will see Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence together in the film from David O. Russell, and not too much later, the two stars will reunite with yet another project. Vulture has word that Lawrence and Cooper will both star in Serena, a new drama from In a Better World director and Academy Award winner Susanne Bier. This comes after news back in 2010 that Angelina Jolie and Darren Aronofsky might team up on the film which takes place in 1929 North Carolina and follows young newlyweds George and Serena Pemberton who move their to build a timber empire. More below!
In their venture, the two are ruthless and will kill or destroy anyone in their way. However, the real drama comes when the two are at odds when Serena discovers she can't have children and takes her anger out on George's illegitimate son. It'll be quite the change from The Hunger Games, hitting theaters in March and yet another interesting role for Cooper who has thankfully not kept himself tethered to blockbusters like The A-Team. Production is expected to begin soon, but we likely won't see the film until sometime in 2013. It definitely sounds like a provoking original drama, one that we might even see at festivals.
