Buzz from 'Home Alone' is a Villain in Alexander Payne's 'Nebraska'
We've known that Alexander Payne was finally going to direct Nebraska (after the project manifested in 2004), since January of 2011. Since then Will Forte and Bruce Dern have been confirmed to star in the film about n aging alcoholic father who thinks he’s won a million dollar Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes prize. But when his family tries to stop him from making the trip from Montana to Nebraska to collect his winning, the father's twentysomething son (who doesn't believe the ticket is a winner) is forced to accompany him on the trip after years of separation. Now we have another interesting casting addition as THR reports Devin Ratray (Buzz from Home Alone) will play the villain in the comedic drama. Read on!
Villain seems like a bit of strong word, but Ratray (who will be seen in R.I.P.D. with Ryan Reynolds next year) is playing one-half of a set of mischievous twins, the sons of a character played by Stacy Keach (The Bourne Legacy). We're not sure what makes them the makeshift bad guys in this film, but maybe they try to steal Dern's fortune? One thing we know for sure is that the film is being shot in black and white, a rarity for a film that isn't set in an older period or trying to emulate classic cinema like The Artist. Bob Odenkirk also stars in the film which is slated to being shooting this month.
