Chuck Norris Says He Will Not Have a Role in 'The Expendables 3'

Just before The Expendables 2 hit theaters, producer Avi Lerner was already talking about a third film in the franchise with even more veteran action star fire power. Clint Eastwood, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage and Harrison Ford are all wanted to join the team in The Expendables 3 if the film should get a studio greenlight, but there's one old school action star who won't be returning for the sequel. Speaking with Access Hollywood (via Dark Horizons), Chuck Norris was asked if he would come back for another go round with the crew and replied, "Nope. Just number 2. This is it for me. Oh, yeah. This is very special."

Norris went on, "Just to be able to do the film with guys I've known for many, many years. To get a chance to get in and fight with them, it was a lot of fun. Plus getting a chance to meet Terry Crews, who I hadn't met before. And Jason Statham, whom I hadn't met before. It was fun just to do that." Well, that seems like kind of a bummer, especially since having Chuck Norris pop up with that signature Ennio Morricone The Good, the Bad and the Ugly whistle was hilarious. However, maybe he ultimately ended up being displeased with the film's R-rating since he thought that it was going to be PG-13. Either way, there's bound to be plenty of other new faces to make up for the bearded one's absence. Bummed?

    Thanks for that. If people remember correctly, when it was released he wanted EXPENDABLES 2 to be PG-13, people lost their shit, and everyone was getting ready to spread their cheeks and take a mighty dump all over Norris' head.

His acting was amazing in expendables 2, but they had to use CGI to take out most of his facial expressions in case they ended up literally blowing the minds of cinema goers, on a global level.

" After hours and hours of agony....the snake died" The whole theater was on the floor with that line...thats too bad hes not coming back.I really hope they can bring back that chemistry for #3, I had a lot of fun at #2.
