'Community' Star Gillian Jacobs Taking the Comedic 'Walk of Shame'
With "30 Rock" guest stars Elizabeth Banks and James Marsden teaming up for the comedy Walk of Shame, we're hoping the film from Drillbit Taylor and Little Nicky director Steven Brill might actually be good. The story follows an L.A. news anchor who goes out for a night of heavy partying after an audition she believed to be a failure. But when she wakes up the next morning with no money, car, identification or memory of the previous night, she suddenly gets the call to be on the air at 5pm, and has to retrace her steps and gather everything she needs before time runs out. Now THR has word that Gillian Jacobs, a series regular on the troubled comedy series "Community," has joined the cast as Banks' best friend. More below!
Jacobs is pretty funny, and she could almost pass for Banks' sister if a role called for it. Plus, she's pretty damn cute as well. There's a good chance we might see more of Jacobs on the big screen if "Community" doesn't get renewed for a fifth season (and that seems very likely). Right now she's shooting an indie crime thriller called The Look Alike with Justin Long and we'll see her next year in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone with Jim Carrey and Steve Carell. Let's just hope Brill doesn't deliver another comedy dud.
