Don Cheadle Back as 'Captain Planet' But People Just Don't Like Him

This one has been circulating for a couple weeks, but somehow it went under our radar. Over a year ago, after news that a live-action adaptation of Captain Planet was announced, Funny or Die went to work with Don Cheadle becoming the environmental hero who looks to take pollution down to zero. However, now that he's active again, Captain Planet has been getting a little carried away, turning anyone who hurts the environment into trees or animals. Even Captain Planet's loyal Planeteers (Napoleon Dynamite star Effren Ramirez from the first video returns for a small part) are on his bad side. Things are rough. Watch!

The production value is much better than the first video, Cheadle is great as usual and this video makes me wish for a Captain Planet adaptation in the same vein as MacGruber (after all, they both have great mullets). Plus that dubstep song at the end is pretty engergizing. Of course, Cartoon Network and Transformers producer Don Murphy probably wouldn't want an R-rated Captain Planet adaptation, but anyone who grew up on the 80s cartoon hero would definitely love to see it happen in the future. Funny?
