The Conspiracy Trailer

"Which one of us is really crazy?" Here's another trailer for a dark, weird, wacky Fantastic Fest film. It's a mockumentary called The Conspiracy, that starts out following a conspiracy theorist, but gets crazy quick when he disappears. This is kind of like if they combined Catfish and Kill List and Conspiracy Theory. Made by Christopher MacBride and starring Aaron Poole and James Gilbert, this doc explores conspiracy theories to the extreme; even the filmmakers get in over their heads. I'd actually love to see this is if I were attending Fantastic Fest, as I'm intrigued by what the heck is going on, and what the big twist/reveal is. Check it out!

Here's the first trailer for Christopher MacBride's The Conspiracy, debuted by AICN (via SlashFilm):

Two young documentary filmmakers are drawn into a shadowy world of secret societies when the subject of their film simply disappears. Have his investigations led to his demise? For more, go to Fantastic Fest.

Christopher MacBride's The Conspiracy is a mockumentary about conspiracy theories that takes a horrific turn after the filmmakers uncover an ancient and dangerous secret society. Sounds like a twist. MacBride previously wrote and directed a short called Sleep Lab. His new film, The Conspiracy, will be premiering at Fantastic Fest this month, so stay tuned for feedback and any other details. Why is this being called a documentary? This is not a documentary.

It is if it actually is a doc, but it looks like a mockumentary, but a very cool one. im so down to see this but I agree they shouldnt be calling it a doc
    • Yea, mockumentary, documentary, faux-umentary, film-umentary, all the same thing no? Is it really not a doc?
      • Alex, a documentary isn't the same as a mockumentary. A documentary should 'document' something not make fun of it. Michael Moore kind of made a mockery of documentaries with just making things up and lying, those weren't documentaries. What's new here? Rich white people have ran the world for a very long time, people love debt, people also think they deserve products that get them in debt. The best thing to do is buy some land, build a house for $3000 and live off the land, debt free living. Or move to Detroit.

Considering 9/11 was an inside job, conceived by Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, and all their neo-con, oil and banking buddies, I'd say this film pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Mixed But Totally Original & Desirable. Another Brilliant Horror. Fresh Air. Not Prequel or Sequel. IMIN
