Emma Roberts and Craig Roberts to Star in 'I Am My Family Secret'
Both of the young talents have films at Sundance, and while they also share a surname, Craig Roberts (Submarine) and Emma Roberts (Scream 4) are not really related in any other capacity. However, soon they will have a singular film in common as Deadline reports both the stars have joined I Am My Family Secret, the next film from director Derick Martini (Lymelife). The story follows two wildly different brothers who learn that their parents have been hiding an Earth-shattering, life-altering secret from them for over 20 years of their life. It's not clear what roles the male and female Roberts' will be playing though.
Both of the young stars are at different points in their career with Emma having much bigger roles recently and Craig just coming on the scene with a phenomenal performance in Submarine. They each make a decent splash at Sundance this year in smaller roles with Emma playing an Avril Lavigne-esque pop star in Celeste and Jesse Forever (read my review here) and Craig taking a scene-stealing role in The First Time as a hilarious, smart-ass British teen. Though Roberts just turned 21, it's likely he's playing one of the brothers, but we're still waiting to see who will play the other sibling. Maybe Martini can get Kieran Culkin on board after he starred in Lymelife for his directorial debut? That'd be one hell of a pairing.
