Emma Watson, Jason Segel and More Lined Up for 'End of the World
Just last fall we learned that the long-gestating apocalyptic comedy Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse starring Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel would go before cameras in February with Rogen also working as a co-director along with his Superbad and Neighborhood Watch writing partner Evan Goldberg. In addition, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson will all be playing themselves as they are stuck in Franco’s apartment in Los Angeles facing an apocalypse. Now even more talents have signed on to play themselves, following through on the promise for tons of celebrity cameos.
Previously, Rogen had said, "It's going to be a pretty offensive vision of the apocalypse. And I want a lot of dead celebrity cameos. Because L.A. is full of famous people, I'd like all of the cameos to be them as corpses." Now Heat Vision has word that Harry Potter star Emma Watson and Rogen's frequent collaborators and friends Jason Segel and David Krumholtz will also be playing themselves in the apocalyptic comedy now known as End of the World. However, it's not clear if they're playing corpses as Rogen so excitedly wanted. It seems quite coincidental that Watson has signed on after there were rumblings of Daniel Radcliffe taking a small part in the film as well. Is there some sort of great Harry Potter bit in the works here? We'll find out. Either way, with this comedy and Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright's The World's End on the way, it's going to be one hilarious apocalypse.
