Ewan McGregor in New UK Trailer for 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen'

"Unless you do this with an open heart, I don't think anything will come of it." This fantastic new UK trailer was debuted earlier this week found via HeyUGuys, and I thought it was worthy enough to feature today. Salmon Fishing in the Yemen is an adaptation of Paul Torday's novel, starring Ewan McGregor as a man who helps bring salmon fishing to the Yemen. The film co-stars Emily Blunt, Kristin Scott Thomas and Amr Waked as the Sheikh. It premiered to some positive reviews at TIFF last year. This trailer starts out comical, but by the end it looks like quite a wonderful charmer, and I really want to see it. Give it a shot!

Lasse Halstrom (What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Dear John) is directing the adaptation of Paul Torday's novel Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, written for the screen by Academy Award winning writer Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire). The story follows a "fisheries expert" (Ewan McGregor) who is approached by a consultant to help realize a sheik's vision of bringing the sport of fly-fishing to the desert and embarks on an upstream journey of faith and fish that just might prove the impossible, possible. Emily Blunt and Kristin Scott Thomas also star in the film which CBS Films is bringing to theaters starting March 2nd. Look good?

Looks really well, and for once, an original turn in the romantic comedy category. Do I´ve said original? So this fim in not from Hollywood, is it? Not a remake, a second part or even directed by a FX designer. Seems really stange.

with this title for the film there's going to be lines around the block.

i am completely sure that this movie will be boring . its just the dream and illusion of the writer. It has no relation with yemenis great culture and morals. fake story for money and media. this reflect how stupid are the media and writers in dealing with other cultures, and how close minded they are.
