The Do-Deca-Pentathlon Trailer

"It's not just sports between the two of you." Red Flag Releasing has debuted the first official trailer for the indie comedy The Do-Deca-Pentathlon, written and directed by brothers Jay & Mark Duplass (who I interviewed earlier this year for their other film Jeff Who Lives at Home), starring Mark Kelly and Steve Zissis as brothers. The two compete in their own homemade, private 25-event Olympics competition, and that's about it. I was curious to see this, but not impressed by the trailer, it looks rather mediocre and these two guys don't see that funny to me. But this humor may work better with other moviegoers. Take a look!

Watch the first official trailer for the Duplass Bros' The Do-Deca-Pentathlon, in high def via Apple:

The story of two grown brothers (Mark Kelly & Steve Zissis) who secretly compete in a homemade Olympics during a family reunion. When their fierce and disruptive competition is uncovered, the brothers must pick between their passion for beating the hell out of each other and the greater good of the family.

The Do-Deca-Pentathlon is both written & directed by filmmaking brothers Jay Duplass & Mark Duplass, of the films The Puffy Chair, Baghead, Cyrus and Jeff Who Lives at Home previously. This first premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. Red Flag Releasing is bringing Do-Deca-Pentathlon to limited theaters July 6th.
