Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman & Liam Hemsworth All Have 'Paranoia'
This summer, The Last Song and The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth will share the screen with some aged action icons in The Expendables 2, but now it sounds like he'll be spending some time on the big screen with some veteran talents who are a bit more impressive on the acting side of things. Deadline has word that the young rising star will play the lead in Paranoia, a corporate espionage thriller from director Robert Luketic (Killers, 21, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton). And while Hemsworth has never led a film before, he'll be in good company as Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman are both in "advance talks" to star.
Hemsworth will play a talented young man who is used by a company CEO to infiltrate a competing telecom company and learn about the secret "Project Aurora." It sounds like it will have the same feel as Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps but set in the tech world and hopefully without the snoozefest that Oliver Stone brought to theaters with the aforementioned sequel. The film, slated to start production sometime this summer, is based on Joseph Finder's novel of the same name which was published back in 2004. Hemsworth will have a lot to prove with this film, and if the script has been good enough to snag the eyes of Ford and Oldman, then it sounds like we'll have a decent thriller to look forward to down the road.
