Ian McShane Will Be Teaching Nick Frost How to Dance in 'Cuban Fury'
Right now you can see a tiny version of Ian McShane as one of the dwarves in Snow White and the Huntsman and sometime next year we'll see him in more fantasy action with Jack the Giant Killer. But for his next project, the British actor is heading back to live-action comedy for the first time since Hot Rod in 2007. THR has word that McShane has joined the UK comedy Cuban Fury, a film that sees Nick Frost as a down-on-his-luck man who reignites his long-dormant passion for salsa dancing thanks to a new love for his American boss played by Rashida Jones. McShane will be playing Frost's dancing instructor. More below!
The film is actually based on idea from Frost himself and Jon Brown wrote the script for James Griffiths (who has helmed episodes of "Up All Night") to make his feature directorial debut. Chris O'Dowd also stars in the film, but we're not sure what his role in the film will be. Hopefully it's a rival dancer, because having Frost and O'Dowd face-off would be quite a sight. Combine that with the fact that the film comes from the same company responsible for Hot Fuzz, "Spaced," and Attack the Block, and this should be good stuff.
