Indie Trailer Sunday: Oscar Nominated Time Travel Short 'Time Freak'
"You built a time machine… you've been traveling around yesterday?" The perfect trailer to feature today, on Oscar Sunday, is for one of the five Oscar nominated shorts that could win tonight. The film is called Time Freak, and is indeed an Oscar nominated short about a guy who invents a time machine. The film's story gets even better, as director Andrew Bowler and his wife, producer Gigi Causey, made a fantastic video of their reaction the morning of the nominations, and Hero Complex wrote about it. The trailer is below, but you can already buy the entire film on iTunes. Anything with time travel I'm always in, but this looks great!
Here's the official trailer for Andrew Bowler's Oscar nominated short Time Freak found via Hero Complex:
Here's the official synopsis/logline: A neurotic inventor creates a time machine only to get lost trying to make yesterday perfect. The cast includes John Conor Brooke, Michael Nathanson and Emilea Wilson. Time Freak was written and directed by filmmaker Andrew Bowler, who is from Brooklyn. Their video of their early morning finding out that they were nominated for an Oscar is just wonderful, it shows the true indie passion that went into making this. Time Freak is nominated for Best Live-Action Short at the 84th Academy Awards. It premiered at the Brooklyn International Film Festival last year, but is available in full from iTunes for only $1.99 (or $2.99 for HD). Definitely check this out - and good luck at the Oscars!
